"My attitude toward progress has passed from antagonism to boredom. I have ceased to argue with people who prefer Thursday to Wednesday because it is Thursday." - Chesterton "New York Times" 2/11/1923

I think Chesterton is still alive and I think he's watching me . There is no way he wrote this about anybody else, this is my life.
Kevin- Chesterton had a lot to say about progress and changes in society. I agree with his conclusion that we can sit around and argue about the benefits of changes, but the fact is that things have changed so it is time to make the most of it.
An example of this would be the coming changes in the church. We can argue about whether it is good that our culture has become post-modern and if the church should somehow minister to post-moderns, or we can admit that this is now the world we live in and we have to be different.

That was really random. Before I noticed the qoutes I assumed you were venting about a Youth Group time change or something.

Derek- Nothing is new under the sun.
